2023 San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association Special Vacancy Election

On September 19, 2023, San Bernardino County General Members will have the opportunity to participate in the San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association (SBCERA) Special Vacancy Election to elect one General Member to fill a vacancy on the Board of Retirement. The General Member elected on September 19, 2023 will serve for the remainder of the three-year term, expiring on December 31, 2024.

 

Notice:  Since the number of candidates was equal to the number of offices to be filled, the candidate will be appointed in lieu of election by the Board of Retirement.  No election will be conducted. Call SBCERA if you have any questions.

  • Candidate filing begins on May 30, 2023 and ends on June 23, 2023.

Candidate Statements:

  • Candidates are required to pay the estimated costs of printing their candidate statement in the Voter Information Guide at the time of filing.

Voting Options

  • Vote early at the Registrar of Voters office beginning August 21, 2023.
  • Request a replacement ballot by returning a completed Mail Ballot Replacement Request Form [available soon] or by calling the Registrar of Voters at (909) 387-8300.
    • Replacement mail ballots must be requested by Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
    • After September 12, 2023, voters needing a replacement ballot must do so in person at the Registrar of Voters.
